GPI is hosting its first GPI Connect-Up Networking Industry Day on Saturday, January 13th. We are so proud of the CEO's who have completed and participated in GPI's Training Program. The GPI Connect-Up Industry Dayis tailored specifically for networking with your fellow CEO's and looking for potential teaming opportunities. Our first GPI Connect-Up Industry day will feature Mr. Ed Schultz, former Branch Chief att he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Mr Schultz will provide his insights andd experience on CDC's FY18 forecast and how to strategize on the forecasting opportunities. CDCis known as a small business friendly agency for government contractors and GPI wants to make sure you are prepared for marketing to CDC. We will have a business to business matchmaking sessions,please bring your business cards and capability statements. We will have activities geared towards you learning about your fellow GPI CEO's.
Lastly, we are most excited about our launching our membership services. We've heard your needs and we have designed a membership package to provide you with the additional support you will need as you continue to market your services to the Federal Government.

The purpose of Government Ready Levels 3-4 has been designed to expose students on how the federal government contracts with small businesses. Throughout this course, students will be exposed to understanding Small Business Administration (SBA) Certification programs. Our instructors utilize various federal databases to demonstrate how to leverage those certifications when marketing to the federal government. Also, this course gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience on learning how to collaborate, build capacity, and determining what marketing materials are required when marketing to the federal government.

The purpose of Contract Ready Levels 5-6 has been designed for more advanced business owners already involved in government contracting and for those business owners who have completed the GPI’S Business Ready and/or Government Ready courses. Through our hands-on-approach you will learn how to build capacity in your business; create your capture management team; how to identify potential teaming partner and mentors; how to effectively respond to Sources Sought notices; how to review RFP's; what accounting systems are required when bidding on Federal contracts and much more. If you are currently certified in SBA’s 8(a) Business Development program and have not received any contracts, this course will show you where to find 8 (a) sole source contracts and how to market your business for those contracts. This course will provide a hands-on experience teaching students how to develop an elevator pitch and marketing materials, developing a six-month marketing strategy and much more.
